This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with senior engineers to design and assess data pipelines.

• Consolidate structured and semi-structured data from various sources.

• Write SQL queries and code to transform, validate, and prepare data for analytical purposes.

• Ensure data quality and resolve any issues related to the pipeline.

• Contribute to the development of data models, technical documentation, and source-to-target mappings.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and collaborative design discussions with the team.

• Deliver project results and insights at the conclusion of the internship.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 30 college-level credit hours in computer science, data engineering, information systems, software engineering, or related disciplines by the start date.

• United States Citizenship or Permanent Work Authorization is a prerequisite.

• Preferred qualifications include a completed bachelor’s degree and proof of enrollment in a master’s program or 9 completed graduate credit hours in a relevant field.

• Experience in SQL and at least one programming language, ideally Python, Java, or Scala, through academic or project work.

• Knowledge of databases, data structures, ETL/ELT concepts, or cloud platforms.

• Familiarity with technologies such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, or similar.

• Understanding of Git, APIs, data warehouses, or orchestration tools.

• Practical experience gained from coursework, research, personal projects, or previous internships.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
