Data Engineer – Space ISR Collection Tooling with Security Clearance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Incorporate commercial imagery providers into the collection tool, including request protocols, data formats, and delivery methods.

• Execute requested modifications to the map interface.

• Analyze and resolve data-flow bottlenecks and technical issues in the live production environment.

• Collaborate with planners and analysts to translate operational needs into specific requirements.

• Maintain documentation that details status, known issues, collection metrics, and recommendations.

• Provide reports on tool performance, encompassing availability, job success rates, changes since the last period, and suggested actions.

• Take ownership of and continually enhance the satellite imagery collection tool.

⛳️ Requirements

• A foundational understanding of space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, along with current satellite capabilities.

• At least five years of experience in multi-mission planning utilizing orbit and sensor modeling.

• Practical experience in developing and operating satellite collection tools for national or multinational clients.

• Demonstrated proficiency with GIS and web mapping libraries.

• Familiarity with protocols for integrating various commercial imagery providers into a single collection capability.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Ability to work independently without supervision and effectively collaborate within a team.

• Strong research and analytical skills.

• Experience in defense or military intelligence processes is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Security clearance is mentioned in the job title.
