Data Engineer – Space, GIS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Oversee ACO requirements related to the integration of APSS commercial data.

• Assist with ACO requests and investigate as well as implement modifications to the user interface of the Collection Tool.

• Analyze and resolve data flow impediments and technical challenges in production environments.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish requirements.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for the APSS Collection Tool.

• Provide support for the Alliance Persistent Surveillance from Space Programme, improving situational awareness and decision-making by facilitating access to shared space data and its integration into NATO systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Knowledge of current space capabilities, with a particular emphasis on space-based ISR.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-mission planning utilizing orbit and sensor modeling.

• Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills, evidenced by recent experience within the last 5 years.

• Recent experience in developing and operating space ISR collection tools for both national and multinational clients.

• Proficient in GIS and web mapping libraries.

• Familiarity with protocols for integrating the collection capabilities of multiple commercial ISR providers.

• A valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance is required.

• Experience with NATO and/or military operations is preferred.

• Advanced research and analytical capabilities.

• Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight.

• Capacity to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of NATO or National intelligence processes is advantageous.
