Data Engineer – Space, GIS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Oversee ACO requirements for the integration of APSS commercial data.

• Assist with ACO requests while investigating and implementing modifications to the Collection Tool's user interface.

• Analyze and resolve data flow bottlenecks along with technical issues in production environments.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish requirements.

• Keep documentation updated for the APSS Collection Tool.

• Contribute to the Alliance Persistent Surveillance from Space Programme, improving access to shared space data and its integration into NATO systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Knowledge of current space capabilities, particularly in space-based ISR.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-mission planning utilizing orbit and sensor modeling.

• Exceptional spoken and written English communication and presentation skills, demonstrated through recent experience within the last 5 years.

• Recent experience in developing and operating space ISR collection tools for national and multinational clients.

• Proficient in GIS and web map libraries.

• Familiarity with protocols for integrating the collection capabilities of various commercial ISR providers.

• Possession of a valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance.

• Experience with NATO and/or military operations.

• Advanced analytical and research skills.

• Desired knowledge of NATO or National intelligence processes.
