
Data Engineer – SnowFlake

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for data platforms, data pipelines, and integrations based on Snowflake.
• Monitor the availability of the platform, warehouse utilization, job execution, pipeline performance, and data quality controls.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, service requests, and data-related issues across various layers of the data platform.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.
• Participate in on-call duties, escalation processes, and major incident support.
• Develop, maintain, and support SQL-based transformations, stored logic, pipeline fixes, and minor enhancements.
• Assist with releases, changes, deployments, and post-implementation validation.
• Support and optimize Snowflake databases, schemas, warehouses, tasks, streams, procedures, and integrations.
• Enhance performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency across Snowflake workloads.
• Automate support activities such as monitoring, alerting, remediation, housekeeping, and operational procedures.
• Apply Snowflake security measures, access control, governance, and auditing requirements.
• Support role-based access controls, least-privilege access, and segregation of duties.
• Maintain data protection controls, including masking and row-level access policies.
• Assist in security incident response, investigation, and recovery efforts.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders, internal service teams, and delivery teams.
• Communicate updates on incident status, investigations, service risks, and planned changes.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, known error records, knowledge articles, and technical support notes.
• Document fixes, workarounds, recurring issues, and platform dependencies.
• Contribute to support standards, monitoring baselines, and operating procedures.
• Strong hands-on experience in supporting Snowflake data platforms, including troubleshooting pipelines, transformations, integrations, and downstream data issues.
• Advanced SQL proficiency.
• Solid understanding of data engineering principles, including ingestion, orchestration, data quality, performance tuning, and platform dependencies.
• Proven skills in incident and problem management.
• Working knowledge of Snowflake security and governance, including access control, least-privilege principles, auditability, and controlled data access.
• Experience supporting releases and changes within a managed services or operational support environment.
• Strong monitoring and analytical capabilities.
• Effective communication skills with stakeholders.
• Well-developed documentation and knowledge management practices.
• A mindset focused on continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s Degree as specified in the job metadata.
