Data Engineer, Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Produce technical evidence for assessments by actively engaging in the environments to gather factual data and confirm interview insights with solid information.

• Catalog data sources, source systems, ingestion pipelines, and their respective loading frequencies and windows.

• Outline integrations, dependencies, and critical points of failure.

• Identify table structures, naming conventions, and modeling patterns currently in use.

• Document existing orchestration, version control, and observability protocols.

• Conduct sample-based evaluations on essential objects for completeness, uniqueness, accuracy, and consistency across various systems.

• Examine duplicate records and identifier conflicts within HCP and customer master data.

• Confirm the presence and functionality of historical tracking in comparison to snapshot data.

• Test identifier reconciliation across multiple platforms.

• Update the Gap & Risk Register with discoveries, evidence, and estimated remediation efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Availability for a temporary assignment lasting one month, with a commitment of 20 hours per week.

• Hands-on data engineering experience, including proficiency in advanced SQL, Python, and ingestion and transformation pipelines.

• Practical experience with Databricks in production settings, encompassing Spark, Delta Lake, and the capability to interpret third-party notebooks and jobs.

• Competence in auditing an environment developed by another team without documentation and reconstructing its logic from the underlying code and data.

• Familiarity with API- and file-based integrations in both batch and near-real-time contexts.
