Data Engineer, Palantir Foundry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create, enhance, and provide support for user-facing applications utilizing Palantir Foundry Workshop and tailored widgets.

• Convert business and functional requirements into scalable, user-centric data applications.

• Develop and sustain frontend application logic using Foundry Workshop and React where applicable.

• Oversee and enhance application performance, usability, reliability, and overall functionality.

• Construct and maintain API-driven data ingestion pipelines.

• Develop, sustain, and optimize data pipelines using Python and SQL within the Palantir Foundry environment.

• Transform and organize data for downstream applications, analytics, and reporting purposes.

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of the Palantir Foundry Ontology.

• Create reusable datasets, data models, and data assets.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine requirements.

• Provide solutions throughout the data lifecycle via application deployment.

• Diagnose issues related to data ingestion, transformation, ontology, and application.

• Engage in testing, deployment, production support, and ongoing improvement efforts.

• Implement standards for data quality, validation, monitoring, operational support, and reusable engineering practices.

• Enhance engineering processes, application performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Support AI-enabled solutions and integrations within Compliance workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• A 2- or 4-year college degree or equivalent professional experience.

• 2–5 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering, or a related technical field.

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.

• Experience in developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting data pipelines.

• Background in creating data applications, dashboards, or other user-facing analytical tools.

• Experience in data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and application development workflows.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Familiarity with Palantir Foundry, with knowledge of Code Repositories, Transforms, Ontology, and Workshop.

• Experience in developing applications using Palantir Foundry Workshop.

• Proficiency in building custom widgets or other user-facing applications within Foundry.

• Knowledge of frontend technologies such as React.

• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, dbt, or similar technologies.

• Experience in designing or maintaining ontology-based data models.

• Experience in building API-based data integrations.

• Experience in developing or supporting AI-enabled data applications or workflows.

• Background in financial services, Compliance, or another regulated industry.
