Data Engineer – Operations Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, sustain, and execute basic to intermediate SQL scripts for effective data management and validation.

• Enhance queries to boost the efficiency of daily operations.

• Conduct data analysis and identify potential issues.

• Collaborate with Engineering, DBA, and other teams to troubleshoot and resolve environmental or network challenges.

• Provide support during after-hours or weekends as required.

• Create and maintain dashboards as necessary.

• Validate task outcomes to ensure compliance with requirements.

• Follow industry and organizational compliance standards to uphold data integrity.

• Track individual productivity effectively.

• Complete task assignments using the department's ticketing system within specified deadlines.

• Attain both organizational and individual goals established during performance reviews and goal-setting sessions.

• Undertake special projects and other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Over 2 years of experience with RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL, Vertica, etc.) and familiarity with SQL, PL/SQL, or other data integration/ETL tools.

• More than 2 years of data analysis experience, preferably within the Healthcare sector, including enrollment, medical claims, and/or pharmacy claims.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Flexible work schedule availability.

• Experience with project management tools such as JIRA.

• Strong analytical abilities.

• Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills.

• Capability to multitask and prioritize projects to meet tight deadlines and turnaround times.

• Experience with multi-datacenter F5 deployments and global traffic management.

• Familiarity with firewall and security platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5 AFM).

• Experience with certificate lifecycle management platforms (e.g., AppViewX).

• Competence in automation scripting: Python, Bash; Ansible is a plus.

• Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and maintain an office setup.
