Data Engineer, Mid-level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and create efficient data structures for analytical queries, guaranteeing performance, scalability, and data integrity.

• Ensure adherence to data governance, quality, security, and compliance with relevant standards, policies, and regulations.

• Establish and uphold data governance practices to standardize and assure the reliability of information.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and convert them into technical data solutions.

• Enhance data pipelines to boost the performance of analytical processes and reporting.

• Consolidate data from various sources, systems, services, and APIs to produce insights and aid decision-making.

• Develop, maintain, and improve data engineering workflows and processes using tools and frameworks within the data ecosystem.

• Conduct performance analysis and optimization of database environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Python for data solutions.

• Familiarity with data manipulation and processing libraries like Pandas.

• Experience with Apache Airflow for developing and managing DAGs.

• Knowledge of integrating Airflow with dbt-core.

• Proficiency in dbt-core for creating and maintaining models and macros.

• Experience in migrating SQL code to dbt.

• Understanding of Git and practices related to code versioning and deployment.

• Advanced expertise in SQL Server, including performance tuning, optimization, and analysis.

• Operational knowledge of the Medallion architecture.

• Understanding of data analysis and business data modeling.

• Knowledge of data protection, governance, and compliance regulations.

• Experience in projects that integrate multiple services and APIs.

• Background in corporate data governance initiatives.

• Experience within large-scale analytical data environments.

• Knowledge of processes related to risk management, regulatory requirements, and data compliance.
