Data Engineer – MDM, Cloud Data & Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level Master Data Management solutions.

• Create MDM applications utilizing Java and contemporary enterprise technologies.

• Construct and manage Master Data and Reference Data APIs.

• Ensure the quality, governance, integrity, and consistency of data.

• Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to establish data standards and processes.

• Design and deploy scalable cloud-based data platforms.

• Develop secure and dependable batch and near-real-time data pipelines.

• Build and refine data integration and processing workflows.

• Monitor and resolve issues related to platform performance and reliability.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code and automation practices.

• Transform raw data into reliable datasets that are ready for analytics.

• Develop dimensional data models following Kimball methodologies.

• Create reusable data products for analytics and reporting purposes.

• Establish data quality and validation frameworks.

• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.

• Convert business requirements into KPIs and visualizations.

• Enhance reporting performance, usability, and data reliability.

• Generate both high-level and detailed technical solution designs.

• Review architecture, code, data models, pipelines, APIs, and dashboards.

• Mentor team members and advocate for engineering best practices.

• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or similar fields.

• At least 5 years of experience in designing and developing integrated solutions at an enterprise scale.

• Strong practical experience in Java application development.

• Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) platforms.

• Significant experience in designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions.

• Proficiency in developing scalable data pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SQL.

• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling/Kimball methodology.

• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.

• Willingness to align with Manila business hours and the client’s business calendar and holidays.

• Preferred: experience with Databricks, Azure Data Platform Services, Data Lakehouse architectures, Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, Terraform, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, TypeScript, REST APIs, microservices, Agile/Scrum/Kanban, DevOps, and secure software development.

• Nice to have: experience with TIBCO EBX or other enterprise MDM platforms; certifications in Azure, Databricks, Scrum, DevOps, or Secure Coding; international and multicultural experience; stakeholder management and consulting skills; experience working with senior stakeholders and business leaders.
