Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software tools aimed at enterprise users.

• Automate retail merchandising decisions pertaining to pricing, assortment, and omnichannel experiences.

• Concentrate on the BlackLocus data orchestration platform along with external data-related solutions.

• Collaborate effectively with engineers, data scientists, product leaders, product teams, and business analysts.

• Engage in agile processes and discussions focused on improving organizational best practices.

• Create, deploy, and provide support for production applications.

• Design tools that streamline business actions derived from extensive datasets.

• Report directly to a Software Engineer Manager or Senior Manager.

• No direct reports are required for this position.

• Travel is not a requirement for this role.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be at least eighteen years old.

• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field is required.

• A minimum of 1 year of professional experience is necessary.

• Proficiency in a general-purpose programming language, preferably Python, is needed.

• Experience with SQL, ideally MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or BigQuery, is required.

• Familiarity with source code version control systems is essential.

• Exposure to NoSQL database technologies is preferred.

• Knowledge of cloud computing methodologies is beneficial.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools is advantageous.

• Exposure to microservice-based architecture is a plus.
