Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines and software solutions tailored for data engineering and analytics.

• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, AI engineers, stakeholders, business units, and engineering teams.

• Evaluate business requirements and convert raw data into reusable analytics assets.

• Apply best practices for data quality, version control, and deployment within analytics platforms.

• Diagnose and resolve software and data-related challenges, offering solutions and ongoing enhancements.

• Work in partnership with solution architects to incorporate analytics solutions into larger architectural frameworks.

• Generate and uphold documentation for software and data processes.

• Perform data analysis to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

• Assist in software design and development, including development environments and testing frameworks.

• Contribute to the formulation and execution of a long-term data platform architecture strategy.

• Establish a new data engineering practice and offer technical leadership within the Product organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in a comparable position.

• More than 5 years of experience with Python and SQL is mandatory.

• More than 5 years of experience with C# and/or Java is preferred.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

• Intermediate knowledge of cloud computing, including virtualization, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

• Intermediate skills in scripting and programming.

• Intermediate abilities in systems and infrastructure design.

• Intermediate skills in technical requirements analysis and specification.

• Intermediate understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and monitoring.

• Intermediate proficiency in SQL.

• Intermediate proficiency in PaaS; experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services is highly preferred.

• Intermediate familiarity with ORM frameworks.

• Intermediate knowledge of TDD methodology.
