Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders as the data specialist during implementation.

• Determine data requirements and develop efficient data migration strategies.

• Provide guidance to clients on data structures, quality, reuse, standardization, and industry best practices.

• Oversee the comprehensive ETL process from customer ERP systems into MindBridge.

• Gain insights into ERP financial data models to automate and manage intricate ETL tasks.

• Extract, format, and refine financial data.

• Diagnose data issues and offer both temporary solutions and permanent resolutions.

• Create and maintain templates and documentation for both internal and external use, including data requirements, processes, flow diagrams, and mappings.

• Design data pipelines for internal analytics, management reporting, and dashboards.

• Act as the product expert for data ingestion and keep up-to-date with new features.

• Collect customer feedback and influence product development decisions.

• Collaborate across departments including customer success, support, product management, development, and data science teams.

• Contribute data expertise to roadmap planning and conduct software/release testing as needed.

• Offer technical and product assistance, project management, and business analytics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience utilizing SQL and Python to create and manage structured and semi-structured datasets.

• More than 5 years of experience working on projects, with advanced knowledge in ETL, data lakes, data analysis and profiling, mapping, modeling, and analytics.

• At least 5 years of experience in customer service, consulting, or support within a software or technology company.

• Over 5 years of experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, Sage, or SAP.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VBA and macros, as well as skills in Python, SQL, API requests, and project management tools.

• A degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or Business, or equivalent experience is required.

• Previous experience in accounting or auditing is considered a significant advantage.

• Must meet the necessary requirements to obtain and pass a full background check.

• Willingness to accommodate occasional client needs outside of standard business hours.

• Travel to the US, UK, and EU may be required.
