Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Gather, process, and refine data from diverse sources.

• Create and execute data models, ETL pipelines, and automated workflows.

• Perform comprehensive data analysis and develop predictive models to address business challenges.

• Generate reports and visualizations using BI tools like Tableau, Google Data Studio, or Looker.

• Collaborate closely with clients to comprehend business issues and deliver actionable insights.

• Enhance internal processes by automating repetitive tasks.

• Assist in account expansion by identifying opportunities to add further value to clients.

• Ensure data pipeline quality, timely delivery, client impact, reporting quality, and improvements in automation.

• Report directly to the Head of Data and Engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience as a Data Engineer and Software Engineer.

• Strong expertise in statistical analysis and data modeling.

• Previous experience in managing marketing data.

• Proficiency in Python and SQL, as well as other relevant programming languages/tools.

• Experience in building ETL pipelines and transforming data from various sources.

• Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Google Data Studio.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager is a plus.

• GCP certification is advantageous.

• Knowledge of big data processing technologies, such as Spark or Hadoop, is a plus.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure is beneficial.
