Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive data migration from legacy systems to cloud-based platforms, focusing on Salesforce-centric data mapping, transformation, and validation.

• Examine and convert unstructured, document-heavy data into structured formats that are ready for analytics utilizing Document AI.

• Establish data quality protocols, including cleansing, deduplication, and reconciliation processes.

• Assist in phased migration and system cutover while minimizing operational disruptions.

• Design, develop, and sustain MuleSoft integrations and APIs for both real-time and batch data exchanges.

• Implement DataWeave transformation logic and resolve integration and data-flow challenges.

• Contribute to the Salesforce Data 360 implementation, encompassing data harmonization, identity resolution, and the creation of unified profiles.

• Ensure proper data ingestion, lineage, metadata management, and traceability throughout the ecosystem.

• Adhere to data governance, privacy, and security standards, including the management of Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

• Collaborate within Agile teams and assist in testing, documentation, and audit readiness.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to federal contract stipulations.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

• Must have resided in the U.S. for three full years out of the last five.

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in data engineering, data migration, or data integration positions.

• Demonstrated experience in executing extensive data migration projects, including the transformation of legacy systems.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce data migrations, covering data modeling, loading, and managing relational datasets.

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in implementing data quality, validation, and reconciliation processes during migration activities.

• Preferred: Current or recent Public Trust or active Secret clearance.

• Preferred: Experience in support of DHS or other federal agencies.

• Preferred: Over 1 year of experience using Informatica for ETL/ELT development, data mapping, and pipeline orchestration.

• Preferred: More than 2 years of proficiency in SQL and concepts of relational data modeling.

• Preferred: Experience with both structured and unstructured data, including document-based records.

• Preferred: Over 1 year of experience in supporting or developing MuleSoft integrations, including API development, data transformations, and inter-system data flows.

• Preferred: At least 1 year of experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including DataWeave and API-led connectivity patterns.

• Preferred: Familiarity with cloud-based SaaS platforms and distributed data architectures.

• Preferred: Knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, and audit frameworks.

• Preferred: Experience in federal or highly regulated environments.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting Agile delivery teams and fostering cross-functional collaboration.

• Preferred: Experience with large-scale, document-centric system migrations.

• Preferred: Familiarity with DocuSign eSignature and Contract Lifecycle Management products.

• Preferred: Experience with Salesforce Data 360 (Data Cloud), focusing on data harmonization and identity resolution.

• Preferred: Experience with Salesforce Document AI / Intelligent Document Processing tools.

• Preferred: Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance requirements, especially concerning sensitive data like PII.
