Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Collect and define requirements for tailored data connectors

• Work alongside Business Analysts, Discovery teams, and Data Architects to pinpoint data sources

• Create, develop, and test bespoke connectors utilizing sample and synthetic datasets

• Develop scalable data integration solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform services

• Implement error handling, retry mechanisms, and processes for dead-letter queues

• Assess connector performance, functionality, and compliance

• Assist in data ingestion, transformation, and integration across manufacturing and operational systems

• Document the architecture, behavior, configurations, and operational procedures of connectors

• Oversee the deployment transition and handoff to the Lead Data Engineer

• Engage in data governance and data quality initiatives

• Contribute to enterprise data modernization programs within secure and regulated environments

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Strong understanding of Big Data solutions on Google Cloud Platform

• Familiarity with Google Cloud database technologies

• Experience in developing custom data integration connectors and ingestion pipelines

• Knowledge of Dataflow, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Run

• Proficient in Data Analysis and Data Modeling

• Experience with Data Management and Data Analysis practices

• Awareness of Data Governance principles

• Experience with Data Integration and ETL processes

• Capability to gather, analyze, and document both business and technical requirements

• Experience working with various data sources and integration patterns

• Strong grasp of scalable cloud-based data architectures

• Ability to document technical solutions and facilitate knowledge transfer activities

• Experience in Agile project environments

• Nice to have: experience in supporting manufacturing modernization initiatives

• Nice to have: background in regulated or compliance-driven environments

• Nice to have: familiarity with FedRAMP High, IL4, or similar cloud security frameworks

• Nice to have: experience with AI-enabled data platforms or analytics solutions

• Nice to have: knowledge of Looker analytics and reporting solutions

• Nice to have: experience in enterprise-scale cloud migration and data modernization projects

• Nice to have: understanding of workforce enablement platforms and operational analytics
