Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and construct efficient data structures tailored for analytical queries, prioritizing performance, scalability, and data integrity.

• Ensure adherence to data governance, quality, security, and compliance standards, policies, and regulations.

• Implement and uphold data governance practices to standardize processes and guarantee information reliability.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to grasp business requirements and convert them into technical data solutions.

• Enhance data pipelines to elevate the performance of analytical processes and reporting.

• Integrate data from diverse sources, systems, services, and APIs to derive insights and support informed decision-making.

• Develop, maintain, and refine data engineering workflows and processes utilizing tools and frameworks from the data ecosystem.

• Conduct performance analysis and optimization of database environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Python in relation to data solutions.

• Proficiency in data manipulation and processing libraries such as Pandas.

• Experience with Apache Airflow for designing and managing DAGs.

• Understanding of the integration between Airflow and dbt-core.

• Hands-on experience with dbt-core for the development and maintenance of models and macros.

• Experience in migrating SQL code to dbt.

• Familiarity with Git and best practices for code versioning and deployment.

• Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, including performance tuning, optimization, and analysis.

• Operational knowledge of the Medallion architecture.

• Understanding of data analysis and business data modeling techniques.

• Knowledge of data protection, governance, and compliance standards.

• Experience with projects that integrate multiple services and APIs.

• Background in corporate data governance initiatives.

• Experience in analytical environments managing large volumes of data.

• Familiarity with processes related to risk management, regulatory requirements, and data compliance.
