This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +10 more states.
• Oversee management, governance, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise data within a specific business domain.
• Collaborate with business and process leaders, data and technology teams, and functional stakeholders to define the domain strategy.
• Identify key data elements, determine ownership and standards, and facilitate the resolution of systemic data challenges.
• Establish clear ownership, accountability, and decision-making rights for data governance.
• Create and implement a domain data roadmap.
• Define data quality dimensions, key performance indicators (KPIs), thresholds, and controls.
• Lead root cause analysis and remediation efforts to enhance data accuracy, completeness, consistency, validity, and timeliness.
• Manage domain metadata, its lifecycle, and stewardship.
• Convert business needs into governance and technology requirements for system implementations and integrations.
• Establish health metrics, quality scorecards, and performance reporting.
• Identify opportunities for simplifying, standardizing, and automating data management practices.
• Utilize emerging technologies and AI to bolster data quality and governance effectiveness.
• Initially concentrate on the Product data domain, aiding Product Lifecycle Management processes and capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 6–8 years of experience in data governance, master data management, data stewardship, business operations, process management, or enterprise transformation.
• Proven experience in establishing or enhancing data governance practices.
• Experience in developing data quality measures, KPIs, thresholds, and controls.
• Proven track record in root cause analysis and remediation of systemic data issues.
• Familiarity with business metadata, data definitions, authoritative sources, data lineage, and lifecycle management.
• Experience supporting product data, product lifecycle management processes, or PLM systems is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of enterprise data management technologies such as MDM platforms, data quality solutions, data catalogs, metadata/lineage tools, workflow tools, and reporting/visualization platforms.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, master data management, metadata, data lineage, stewardship, and lifecycle management principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with business acumen and an enterprise mindset.
• Ability to translate business needs into data standards, quality requirements, governance processes, technology requirements, controls, and actionable improvement priorities.
• Capability to leverage automation, AI-enabled technologies, and emerging data solutions.
