Data Architect – Supply Chain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute scalable data architectures for supply chain data platforms, analytics, reporting, and downstream applications.

• Establish enterprise data models, encompassing logical and physical data structures, data domains, and data integration patterns.

• Design cloud-based data solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure services.

• Create and enhance data processing and analytics solutions with Databricks, including lakehouse architecture and distributed data processing.

• Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure best practices in data ingestion, transformation, storage, orchestration, and consumption.

• Convert complex business and technical requirements into effective architecture and solution designs.

• Set standards for data quality, metadata management, lineage, security, access control, and governance.

• Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to comprehend supply chain processes and pinpoint data modernization and optimization opportunities.

• Evaluate existing data platforms and suggest enhancements to architecture, performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction to data engineers and development teams.

• Generate architecture diagrams, technical documentation, data models, and solution design specifications.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, cloud security, compliance, and data governance standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8+ years of relevant experience.

• 8–12 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or similar technology roles.

• Strong hands-on experience in Data Architecture and designing enterprise-level data platforms.

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-based data architecture.

• Extensive experience with Databricks, including lakehouse architecture, data processing, and analytics workloads.

• Comprehensive understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, data lakes, ETL/ELT, and data integration concepts.

• Proven experience in designing scalable and high-performance data solutions for complex enterprise environments.

• Strong grasp of data governance, security, quality, lineage, and metadata management.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of working across both business and technical teams.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP-related enterprise data.

• Practical knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data integration and orchestration.

• Previous experience with Supply Chain data, processes, and systems.

• Familiarity with ERP, procurement, inventory, logistics, manufacturing, demand planning, or order management data.

• Understanding of modern data engineering and cloud-native architecture patterns.
