This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Oversee data architecture transformations and/or migrations to contemporary cloud solutions, guaranteeing robustness and scalability.
• Architect and execute Virtual Cloud solutions, encompassing virtual networks, network routing, and subnets.
• Develop efficient and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data processing and integration across diverse systems utilizing APIs and data integration tools.
• Create scalable and high-performance data models and databases, including Medallion Data Warehouse architecture, Data Lakehouses, dimensional modeling, Star schemas, and Snowflake schemas.
• Manage one or multiple data projects, taking responsibility for end-to-end execution and results.
• Lead cross-functional teams, offering technical direction and ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to grasp business objectives and provide customized technical solutions.
• Ensure that solutions adhere to standards for quality, performance, cost-effectiveness, and access policy management.
• Remain updated on emerging industry trends and technologies, incorporating them into client solutions.
• Advanced or expert-level proficiency with Databricks, including Delta Lake, Lakehouse architecture, and data engineering workloads.
• Extensive experience with SQL and data modeling, specifically with Star and Snowflake schemas and dimensional modeling.
• Significant experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Proficient in Apache Spark / PySpark and large-scale data processing.
• Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-based data solutions.
• Experience in data migration and modernization projects involving Databricks or other modern cloud data platforms.
• Knowledge of data integration and transformation tools such as dbt, Fivetran, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Matillion, or similar.
• Understanding of DataOps, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automation practices for data platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to guide Data Engineers and other technical teams.
• Excellent communication abilities and capacity to work effectively with clients, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
• Capability to translate business requirements into scalable and practical data architecture solutions.
