This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium, +5 more countries.
β’ Develop and implement the organization's data strategy and architecture in alignment with business goals.
β’ Convert business needs into scalable data architecture, models, and technical specifications.
β’ Design and oversee data models, metadata, lineage, and data catalogs.
β’ Architect and integrate both batch and real-time data pipelines across various sources and platforms.
β’ Establish and uphold data governance, quality, security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
β’ Design and deploy scalable cloud and hybrid data platforms, maximizing performance and cost efficiency.
β’ Implement processes for data profiling, validation, cleansing, and lifecycle management.
β’ Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data platforms, pipelines, and infrastructure.
β’ Collaborate with business leaders, engineers, and data scientists to provide effective data solutions.
β’ Lead data architecture initiatives and guide teams on standards, tools, and best practices.
β’ Assess emerging data, cloud, big data, and AI technologies, recommending appropriate solutions.
β’ Offer expert services remotely while being integrated into the company's team, closely collaborating with a major client's on-site IT team.
β’ Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
β’ Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience.
β’ At least 2 years of experience in enterprise data architecture and platform assessment, encompassing BI, data, and integration environments.
β’ A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with enterprise relational databases/DWH, including SQL analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
β’ At least 2 years of practical experience with ETL/ELT and data integration tools, developing, modifying, and troubleshooting pipelines.
β’ A minimum of 2 years applying data modeling across conceptual, logical, and physical layers, including 3NF, Data Vault, and dimensional/star-schema methodologies.
β’ At least 1 year of involvement in enterprise data/BI/DWH migrations.
β’ Experience with metadata and cataloging platforms such as Collibra, Alation, Azure Purview, or OpenLineage.
β’ Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Azure Synapse, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, or Amazon Redshift.
β’ Certification in TOGAF, CDMP, DAMA-DMBoK, or an equivalent is mandatory.
β’ Excellent proficiency in English.
