Data and Performance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Oversee key performance indicators, performance objectives, contractual obligations, and quality-of-care metrics for the agency.

• Gather, compile, organize, and assess administrative, operational, clinical, financial, and service-delivery information.

• Perform routine validation of data to guarantee its accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and reliability.

• Detect data inconsistencies and work collaboratively with departments to investigate and address data-quality issues.

• Evaluate performance trends, patterns, risks, and areas for enhancement.

• Work with the Leadership Team to analyze reporting metrics and convert findings into actionable strategies.

• Create dashboards, scorecards, reports, charts, and various other data presentations.

• Draft written summaries detailing data findings, trends, performance issues, contributing factors, and recommendations.

• Identify gaps, disparities, or inequities in access to care, service provision, outcomes, and quality of care.

• Assist in the development of performance improvement plans and corrective actions.

• Assess improvement initiatives against benchmarks and targets.

• Integrate data from electronic health records, surveys, incident reports, utilization reviews, case record assessments, financial systems, and other sources.

• Support departments with performance metrics, data-collection procedures, and reporting timelines.

• Maintain documentation for data definitions, calculation methods, reporting criteria, and validation processes.

• Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, accreditation, and internal quality reporting standards.

• Safeguard confidential agency, employee, and client information in accordance with HIPAA, policies, and applicable legislation.

• Engage in quality improvement committees, leadership meetings, and other assigned gatherings.

• Accurately complete reports and assigned projects within set timeframes.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, healthcare administration, public health, business administration, social sciences, quality management, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of two years of experience in data analysis, quality assurance, performance improvement, healthcare operations, or a comparable field.

• Proven experience in collecting, validating, analyzing, and reporting data.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting or data visualization tools.

• Capability to interpret both quantitative and qualitative data and convey findings clearly.

• Strong analytical, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities while meeting established deadlines.

• Skill in effectively collaborating with leadership, clinical staff, administrative personnel, and other stakeholders.

• Capacity to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.

• Experience in behavioral health, human services, healthcare, or nonprofit sectors.

• Understanding of performance measurement, continuous quality improvement, and program evaluation.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and healthcare-related data.

• Knowledge of or experience using Credible Behavioral Health Software and Greenspace Mental Health.

• Awareness of CARF accreditation standards and relevant federal, state, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

• Understanding of health equity, disparities analysis, and outcome measurement.
