Data Analytics Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Engage in internship program activities, which include workshops, technical training sessions, and special projects.

• Support data analysis, dashboard creation, reporting, and business intelligence efforts.

• Develop and improve reports and visualizations utilizing Power BI and other analytics tools.

• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, prepare data, and provide actionable insights.

• Leverage SQL and enterprise data platforms for information analysis and to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

• Build foundational skills in Power BI, SQL, data visualization, data warehousing, business intelligence, and enterprise analytics.

• Work with large datasets while addressing real-world business challenges.

• Participate in onboarding, speaker series, mentorship, networking, and various internship program activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Preferred graduation date is December 2027 or May 2028.

• A GPA of 3.4 or higher is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

• Strong analytical abilities are essential.

• Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, Snowflake, Streamlit, Python, R, or other data warehousing and visualization tools is preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

• Must be curious, detail-oriented, self-driven, and enthusiastic about leveraging data to address business challenges.

• Capability to complete mandatory new hire compliance training and attend New Employee Orientation.

• Ability to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports.

• Must be able to work extended hours on a computer.

• Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in a remote setting.
