Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to comprehend data requirements and convert them into technical solutions, encompassing data modeling, data governance, and system integration.

• Work alongside Product Owners, Temporary Duty Assignees, and business analysts to evaluate both structured and unstructured data sets.

• Conduct in-depth research into technologies to ascertain how IT can fulfill business needs via software solutions.

• Implement solutions that support physical data models for business intelligence reporting initiatives.

• Perform analyses to devise innovative solutions.

• Apply standards and best practices to ensure performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.

• Guide data engineers, data analysts, and reporting analysts in the execution of enterprise content and data management solutions.

• Spearhead data migration initiatives from on-premises databases to Azure cloud.

• Design solutions for ingesting APIs and big data sources into data lakes and establish cloud data warehouses.

• Present critical findings and actionable insights to leadership through comprehensive reports and visualizations.

• Develop and supervise data mappings to modern systems and data platforms.

• Architect, design, and create cloud-based data lake architectures, master data solutions, and data warehouses that support analytics and BI dashboards.

• Host and facilitate peer reviews of code produced by other developers.

• Mentor and train team members to encourage cross-training.

• Optimize and enhance data pipelines for quality, performance, and scalability.

• Create CI/CD solutions using Bamboo, Azure DevOps, and Bitbucket for both on-premises and cloud-based solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of seven (7+) years in developing IT and cloud infrastructures.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering, or a relevant computer-based discipline.

• Proficiency in relational and NoSQL database technologies.

• Expertise in data modeling tools, data warehousing, and data lake concepts.

• Familiarity with open-source programming for ETL and analytical/statistical methods, including Python.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to formulate and convey recommendations.

• Experience with process design and documentation methodologies.

• Proven track record in designing and delivering quality outputs.

• Experience with process and use case modeling, as well as business case development.

• Ability to comprehend business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Exceptional communication, organizational, stakeholder management, time management, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with keen listening skills.

• U.S. citizenship is not a requirement.

• Previous experience with PowerBI is preferred.

• Familiarity with cloud data warehouse technologies, such as Snowflake, is preferred.

• Experience in BusinessObjects administration in a Windows environment is preferred.

• Proficiency with Office 365 Online, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Active Directory, MS SQL Server, MS SQL Server Integration Services, and MS SQL Server Analysis Services is preferred.

• Knowledge of court operations and law enforcement business data is preferred.
