This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
β’ Develop and execute advanced descriptive, evaluative, and financial analyses utilizing Medicare and Medicaid administrative data, research files, and public data files.
β’ Prepare analysis plans for programmers to implement effectively.
β’ Conduct quality-control reviews of R and SAS programming, including statistical analyses of intricate survey data and extensive claims data files.
β’ Construct financial models related to healthcare, policy, and business outcomes in Excel or R.
β’ Generate insightful data visualizations and convey clear narratives derived from analysis.
β’ Present analysis findings and data considerations to project teams, clients, and external audiences via publications and presentations.
β’ Convert data results into policy implications and offer data-driven recommendations.
β’ Collaborate with various teams and practices on analyses that inform clients' policy and business decisions.
β’ Engage in discussions regarding policy analysis, data sources, methodologies, and analytic outcomes.
β’ Organize and lead tasks within analytic-centric client projects, presenting plans and results to clients and internal teams.
β’ At least 2 years of professional experience in analyzing and assisting in the design of analyses for complex Medicare or Medicaid datasets (claims, encounters, public use files, surveys) in the field of healthcare policy or economics.
β’ Proven experience and advanced skill level in R and Excel analysis.
β’ Proficient in writing and visualizing research results, translating intricate ideas and findings into relevant insights for specific audiences, whether visually, verbally, or in writing.
β’ A graduate degree in economics, public policy, public health, epidemiology, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, or an undergraduate degree accompanied by equivalent work experience.
β’ Demonstrated experience and capability to prioritize multiple high-stakes, complex tasks with competing deadlines.
β’ Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality deliverables efficiently.
β’ High level of initiative, quick learning capacity, and resourcefulness.
β’ Ability to independently resolve problems, adapt quickly to client needs, and operate with incomplete information.
β’ Capacity to support team project work while raising risks, questions, and options to relevant team members.
β’ Experience in independently executing and presenting data analyses in a consulting environment or similar context.
β’ Preferred: proficiency in SAS programming or code review.
β’ Preferred: experience with Python programming or code review.
β’ Preferred: experience in data visualization with Tableau.
β’ Preferred: familiarity with Git or GitHub.
