Data Analytics Intern, 8 months

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Utilize data to address strategic inquiries and bolster business strategy alongside rapid growth.

• Organize, visualize, and interpret extensive datasets related to performance marketing channels.

• Perform in-depth analyses.

• Develop regression or segmentation models.

• Create automated dashboards and funnels for internal teams.

• Produce reports that drive business growth and extract strategic insights from product, user, and operational data.

• Foster a data-driven culture and assist in strategy and decision-making processes.

• Access, cleanse, and organize raw data for teams and stakeholders.

• Collaborate on real projects with full-time developers, contributing work that is implemented and utilized.

• Engage in team meetings, Slack discussions, and social events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a college, university, or educational program.

• The internship must be part of an academic curriculum or completed independently, as applicable.

• Capability to work 40 hours each week.

• Must maintain a minimum 6-hour overlap with the Eastern Time Zone.

• Availability during core working hours from 9/10 a.m. to 5/6 p.m. EST, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility.

• Proficient in pulling, cleaning, and manipulating large sets of complex data.

• Experience with SQL querying and data analysis using Python and/or R.

• Familiarity with Looker, Amplitude, dbt, and Snowflake.

• Strong understanding of common statistical methods and their real-world applications.

• Ability to work autonomously while being open to mentorship and guidance.

• Competence in addressing stakeholder requests and providing valuable insights.

• Capacity to navigate ambiguous or shifting priorities.

• Understanding of how data insights relate to broader business objectives.

• Must reside in the same country as your educational institution for the entire duration of the internship.
