Data Analytics Consultant II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.

📋 Description

• Utilize data and analytics to address moderately complex inquiries and shape business strategies.

• Establish best practices for data retrieval, manipulation, quality, reporting, and analytics.

• Mentor and develop less experienced analysts.

• Communicate project information to the team and provide management updates.

• Gather, clean, organize, and analyze moderately complex data to interpret business outcomes.

• Monitor and assess business initiatives against key performance indicators, delivering results and recommendations to management.

• Make business insights comprehensible for non-technical audiences.

• Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations for workforce and operational data.

• Collaborate with Workforce Planning, Operations, Reporting, and other stakeholders to collect requirements and provide analytical solutions.

• Oversee data quality, investigate discrepancies, validate outputs, and resolve data issues.

• Generate visual analyses and executive-ready reports on workload trends, staffing impacts, forecast performance, and operational drivers.

• Engage in cross-functional projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, implementation, documentation, validation, and enhancement.

• Maintain documentation, job aids, data definitions, and best practices.

• Identify opportunities to enhance reporting, analytics, data quality, and Workforce Management processes through automation and improved data models.

• Assist during technology outages and operational disruptions by assessing impacts and providing insights and recommendations.

• Balance routine reporting and planning tasks with ad hoc analysis and project responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience (preferred).

• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Proficiency in data analysis and analytics.

• Experience with Microsoft Excel.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI / PBI and data visualization techniques.

• Experience with MS SQL queries, SQL database queries, and Structured Query Language (SQL).

• Must undergo a background investigation.

• Reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.

• A dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, equipped with suitable desk and seating when working remotely.
