This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Acquire a deep understanding of MeridianLink decisioning platforms, including MeridianLink Consumer and DecisionLender, as well as the application processes involved in underwriting and approval.
• Assess credit bureau data, application details, and loan performance metrics to analyze portfolio risks, approval patterns, and delinquency trends.
• Evaluate underwriting guidelines, scorecards, and decision-making rules to uncover opportunities for optimization.
• Analyze consumer credit reports, focusing on tradelines, inquiries, utilization, and public records.
• Review metrics such as approval rates, decline rates, capture rates, delinquency, charge-offs, and loss rates.
• Provide clients with data-driven policy and strategy recommendations that balance risk management with growth initiatives.
• Create client-facing reports and dashboards that convey portfolio performance and risk trends effectively.
• Lead and engage in client meetings to present insights and deliberate on credit risk factors and optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams in analytics, engineering, and product development to deliver analytical solutions.
• Ensure precision and consistency across all analytical outputs.
• Contribute to the establishment of best practices, documentation, and training materials related to credit risk and lending analytics.
• Aid in the creation of scalable tools and templates for monitoring portfolios and conducting underwriting analyses.
• Act as a trusted advisor on credit risk management and consumer lending best practices.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred.
• 3–6 years of experience in credit risk analysis, underwriting, lending analytics, or financial services consulting is preferred.
• Strong familiarity with consumer credit data, credit bureau reports (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion), or loan performance data is highly preferred.
• A solid understanding of consumer lending fundamentals, including underwriting, risk tiers, scorecards, and policy regulations.
• Experience in analyzing loan performance, delinquency, and loss trends.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to convert data into actionable business insights.
• Proven expertise in SQL is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required.
• Advanced skills in business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Sisense, or similar applications are preferred.
• Strong project management and organizational capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, able to convey credit risk concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data quality and accuracy.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States; employment offer is contingent upon background, credit, and drug screenings.
