Data Analyst / BI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Manage and resolve issues related to current SQL queries, stored procedures, and database operations.

• Extract, manipulate, and validate data utilizing SQL Server and T-SQL.

• Analyze data discrepancies and issues across various systems.

• Validate and align information from different data sources.

• Work with extensive datasets in healthcare, finance, accounting, and operations.

• Conduct independent investigations of databases, queries, and processes to comprehend their functionality and identify problems.

• Create, maintain, and modify reports using SSRS and Microsoft Report Builder.

• Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of recurring reports.

• Resolve reporting issues and explore unexpected results.

• Update reports in accordance with business needs and assist in developing new reports and analytical outputs.

• Manage routine data imports, exports, and data processes.

• Assist with automated workflows that involve SQL, Python, APIs, SFTP, and CSV/Excel files.

• Facilitate data integrations between internal and external systems.

• Aid in system migrations and modifications to data processes.

• Identify potential improvements or automation for manual workflows.

• Document processes, queries, reports, and workflows.

• Work with NetSuite data and processes while supporting external NetSuite integrations.

• Troubleshoot and maintain data flows between NetSuite and other systems.

• Support necessary changes and new integrations as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with SQL Server and T-SQL.

• Deep understanding of relational databases, joins, stored procedures, and data transformation.

• Familiarity with SSRS, Microsoft Report Builder, or comparable reporting tools.

• Experience with NetSuite and external NetSuite integrations.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Excellent attention to detail with a strong emphasis on data accuracy.

• Capability to independently investigate existing reports, databases, and processes.

• Comfort in handling large and complex datasets.

• Ability to work confidently with repetitive, detail-oriented tasks while ensuring high accuracy.

• Strong organizational skills with a reliable approach to managing recurring responsibilities.

• Ownership of tasks and commitment to following processes through to completion.

• Working knowledge of Python, APIs, SFTP, CSV/Excel files, and automated workflows as indicated in the responsibilities.

• Availability to work US hours (9am–5pm EST).
