Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations utilizing Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.

• Examine learner, workforce, and training performance data to pinpoint trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities for enhancement.

• Generate recurring and ad hoc reports for program managers, executives, and stakeholders.

• Validate, cleanse, reconcile, and oversee data quality.

• Develop KPIs, metrics, and scorecards to align with organizational goals.

• Assist with data governance, metadata management, and standardization initiatives.

• Conduct root-cause analysis and statistical evaluations.

• Convert business requirements into data collection, reporting, and visualization solutions.

• Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts to determine reporting and analytics needs.

• Document data definitions, business rules, reporting methodologies, and analytical procedures.

• Present findings, trends, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Assist with audit requests, compliance reporting, and data inquiries from federal stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on complex datasets.

• A bachelor's degree.

• Proven experience in developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations for business stakeholders.

• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and conducting data validation activities.

• Expertise in Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or other business intelligence and visualization platforms.

• Experience with data transformation and preparation tools.

• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and relational databases.

• Experience working with large datasets from various data sources.

• Understanding of statistical methods, data profiling, and trend analysis.

• Ability to communicate complex analytical results through effective visualizations and presentations.

• Knowledge of Agile project environments and requirements management processes.

• Preferred: Experience in analyzing learning management system (LMS) data, student participation data, certification data, or workforce development metrics.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting enterprise analytics initiatives in regulated federal settings.

• Preferred: Experience in developing executive dashboards and performance measurement frameworks.

• Preferred: Knowledge of learning analytics, Kirkpatrick evaluation methodologies, training effectiveness measurement, or workforce planning analytics.

• Preferred: Experience with Power BI, Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric, or other Microsoft analytics platforms.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting FDA, HHS, or other federal health-sector organizations.

• Preferred: Familiarity with data governance, privacy regulations, and federal information management standards.
