Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Saint Lucia.

📋 Description

• Gather, analyze, interpret, and present business data to deliver actionable insights.

• Provide support to retail businesses and shared service functions within the GEL Services Division.

• Examine operational, financial, customer, workforce, and other relevant business data.

• Recognize trends, opportunities, risks, and areas needing improvement.

• Create and maintain reports, dashboards, KPIs, and various analytical tools.

• Partner with business leaders and functional teams to convert data into actionable recommendations.

• Enhance performance, efficiency, profitability, customer experience, and service delivery.

• Report directly to the Divisional General Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or a similar analytical role.

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and visualization techniques.

• Experience in developing management reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with multiple data sources and large datasets.

• Advanced skills in data analysis and interpretation.

• Proficiency in business intelligence and data visualization tools, preferably Power BI.

• Skills in data cleaning, preparation, and management, including data extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance.

• Knowledge of SQL or other data querying tools.

• Experience with ERP, POS, HRIS, CRM, financial, retail, and/or operational systems.

• Capability in KPI and performance measurement.

• Skills in report automation and process improvement.

• Strong business and financial understanding.

• Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and reliability.

• Desirable: Experience with Power BI or a similar business intelligence/data visualization platform.

• Desirable: Experience using SQL or other data querying tools.

• Desirable: Experience with ERP, POS, HRIS, CRM, or other business systems.

• Desirable: Experience in a retail, distribution, logistics, financial, or shared-services setting.

• Desirable: Certification or formal training in data analytics, Power BI, SQL, or business intelligence.
