Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage with government clients to comprehend their business requirements and establish objectives for data engineering and analysis.

• Identify relevant data sources and create effective data integration and processing workflows.

• Design and execute data pipelines, ETL processes, and database architectures.

• Conduct data cleaning, transformation, and exploratory analysis.

• Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to build scalable and dependable data pipelines.

• Develop and sustain models and views for data accessibility, visualization, and analysis.

• Enhance data storage, indexing, and query performance.

• Present findings and solutions to clients.

• Clarify complex analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Take responsibility for tasks and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.

• 2–5 years of experience in data engineering, database management, and analytical methodologies.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing data processing solutions for both relational and unstructured data.

• Familiarity with structured databases and query languages such as PL/SQL, Postgres, or MySQL.

• Experience in optimizing SQL queries.

• Preferred experience with Spark or Hadoop.

• Knowledge of SAS, R, or Stata is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala.

• Must acquire a Public Trust Clearance.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Must clear a background check.

• Strong capabilities in technical project management and teamwork.

• Ability to translate client and team requirements into actionable work products or analytical plans.

• Strong interaction skills with clients and team members.

• Critical thinking skills and exceptional attention to detail.
