This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Deliver customer support for ONHRDB through an online service desk platform.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to the ONHRDB application and its data.
• Address service requests promptly and professionally.
• Collect requirements for application development and reporting products.
• Conduct testing for application and reporting products.
• Identify, document, mitigate, and escalate issues as necessary.
• Act as a subject matter expert and administrator for the ONHRDB service tracking application.
• Create and maintain ONHRDB reference documents and training materials.
• Develop and provide training content for external stakeholders.
• Review, create, and present updates, communications, and presentations.
• Perform data quality checks, investigative tasks, and identify opportunities for data-quality enhancements.
• Engage in strategic discussions and activities.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as well as provincial partners.
• Transform data and application requirements into formal specifications.
• Test data products and application updates.
• Provide training to end-users when necessary.
• Support ONHRDB data management requirements for harm reduction service providers and the Ministry of Health.
• Independently manage multiple complex ONHRDB projects and work as part of a diverse team.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in computer sciences, social sciences, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in the health services sector.
• Specific experience in mental health and addictions.
• Experience or significant knowledge of Harm Reduction Services in Ontario.
• Background in frontline customer service, service request fulfillment, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge and experience in training end-users, both virtually and through written documentation.
• Advanced knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in computerized systems and applications, including databases.
• Understanding of privacy and legal best practices and standards concerning data collection, transfer, storage, and reporting.
• Proven experience in collecting and utilizing data for decision-making and quality improvement.
• Experience supporting organizations/agencies with system change initiatives through facilitation, problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and coordinate projects under tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal communication and community engagement abilities.
• Creative problem-solving and organizational skills, with the capacity to adapt to evolving project needs.
• Experience collaborating with technical teams and translating technical information for stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient in software applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Knowledge of best practices for data collection, privacy, and health equity.
• Bilingualism (English, French) is advantageous.
• Familiarity with community addictions and mental health service providers and their data collection systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of Tableau and/or Atlassian tools is considered an asset.
