This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.
• Actively seek out cyber threats that remain undetected within the network.
• Launch investigations to pinpoint unusual behaviors that may indicate malicious activities.
• Examine raw logs and network data, collaborating with Threat Detection and Incident Response analysts to create hunting leads.
• Compare enterprise trends and activities with current external threat intelligence.
• Determine mitigations for significant vulnerabilities found during threat hunting activities.
• Oversee analysis when an Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) or other compromises are detected during hunting.
• Formulate threat hunting strategies to enhance capabilities for uncovering new threats.
• Develop hunting tools and automation techniques to detect sophisticated adversaries.
• Execute incident response for critical security events.
• Contribute to a Defense Logistics Agency program as part of a proposal effort.
• Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) in a technical field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five (5) years of technical experience in Threat Intelligence, Cybersecurity Incident Response, Penetration Testing, Reverse Engineering, or Digital Forensics.
• Three (3) years of experience analyzing adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) across all stages of the attack lifecycle.
• Proven experience in identifying and addressing security challenges across various operating systems and environments.
• Experience in working with and analyzing large datasets to detect trends, anomalies, and potential security threats.
• Proficiency in using cybersecurity tools and scripting languages, such as Splunk, Python, and PowerShell.
• Demonstrated capability to translate threat intelligence into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework and its application in threat detection, analysis, and hunting.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data to create clear, evidence-based narratives that support the documentation and communication of threat hunting operations.
• Candidate must hold a current DOD Top Secret Clearance and be eligible for an IT-I Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 5 (T5) at the time of proposal submission.
