This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop actionable intelligence and design/test signatures, queries, and analytics to identify threat activities utilizing TTP-based threat intelligence, threat actor artifacts, and behaviors aligned with the Lockheed Cyber KillChain and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
• Participate in proactive threat intelligence gathering and processing to anticipate threat activities.
• Maintain current threat intelligence database content and context.
• Ensure the deployment of threat intelligence throughout the technology stack.
• Provide intelligence support to the CIRT, Data Protection, and Product teams.
• Generate timely alerts and briefings regarding threat activities.
• Assist in incident detection and response efforts as required.
• Foster engagement, execution, and accountability within the team.
• Advocate for continuous improvement and automate repetitive processes.
• Communicate effectively with the immediate team and GE leadership, ensuring a clear understanding of business direction, strategy, and outcomes.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) or equivalent experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in Cybersecurity and threat intelligence fields; or equivalent knowledge or experience.
• Proficient with data analysis tools, including Splunk or other SIEM products.
• Comprehensive understanding of APT, Cyber Crime, and other related cyber threat tactics.
• Hands-on experience with Network Security Monitoring practices and technologies (Suricata, Snort, Zeek, etc.).
• Familiarity with host-based detection and incident response technologies such as CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, Tanium, Windows Defender ATP, or similar.
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, SaaS, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of scripting/programming; Python and Jupyter are preferred.
• Understanding of CND-based analytical models (Kill Chain, Pyramid of Pain, ATT&CK, etc.).
• Ability to set and manage expectations with stakeholders and team members.
• Strong capability to prioritize and execute tasks with minimal guidance.
• Excellent critical thinking, writing, and presentation skills.
• Proven history of managing and executing both short-term and long-term projects.
• CISSP, CISM, or related SANs certifications, or relevant technical experience preferred.
