This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +35 more states.
• Design, develop, configure, implement, optimize, and maintain cybersecurity solutions.
• Address technical and business challenges associated with threat and vulnerability management, identity management, security operations, forensics, and data protection.
• Assist in the planning, implementation, and operation of the Enterprise Identity and Access Management platform.
• Create and deploy IAM features, access certifications, provisioning, modeling, workflows, and automation.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity Architects to implement strategic cybersecurity initiatives.
• Assess security components of networks, applications, and end-user devices.
• Offer guidance to ensure that new systems comply with regulatory and technical standards.
• Engage in root-cause analysis to identify areas for improvement following failures.
• Oversee cybersecurity systems, including tuning, release updates, and change management.
• Design and implement cybersecurity solutions alongside secure baseline configurations.
• Conduct technical assessments for policies, standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Review and formulate security policies and procedures.
• Manage and maintain security for internal infrastructures and services.
• Take part in cybersecurity projects, encompassing scope requirements, budgeting, and work breakdown.
• Provide cybersecurity support across various departments while interacting with staff and management at all levels.
• Work Monday through Friday during standard business hours, with on-call support responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in enterprise-scale information security engineering, ideally within the healthcare sector.
• Familiarity with IT operations and/or security operations.
• Experience in automating security processes, along with proficiency in coding and scripting languages.
• Competence in performing acquisition processes, including vendor selection, requirements definition, and the development of contractual documentation.
• Capability to document security processes and formulate use cases.
• Understanding of HIPAA, HITECH, PCI, and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
• Experience in evaluating vendors and submitting enhancement requests.
• Background in planning, designing, and implementing cybersecurity solutions.
• Proficiency in operating, maintaining, and managing the lifecycle of cybersecurity solutions.
• Knowledge of security engineering principles, risk management, resilience, vulnerability management, information security, and security operations.
• Demonstrated independent judgment, critical decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to balance project workloads with customer support and on-call responsibilities.
• General understanding of information technology and information security principles and practices.
• Skill in communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences across various facilities and organizational levels.
• Flexibility to work variable shifts and respond to after-hours notifications as necessary.
• Preferred certification: SSCP, HCISPP, CompTIA Security+, CISSP-ISSEP, CEH, SANS GIAC, or CISA.
• Preferred experience: two years as a System Administrator, in Security Operations, or in IT Operations; or two years of risk management or GRC experience in a healthcare or medical environment.
