Cyber Security Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate clients' security posture, enterprise architecture, technical setups, and security measures.

• Recognize cybersecurity risks, deficiencies, and areas for enhancement.

• Provide proactive cybersecurity consulting services, including security evaluations, architecture assessments, maturity reviews, security roadmaps, and implementation support.

• Generate actionable reports and present findings and suggestions to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.

• Offer practical, risk-oriented advice grounded in industry best practices.

• Assist with security incident response efforts and initiatives for post-incident enhancements, which constitutes about 20% of the role.

• Work in conjunction with Engagement Managers and technical experts to ensure effective project execution.

• Contribute to consulting methodologies, assessment frameworks, and knowledge sharing within the organization.

• Keep abreast of emerging threats, security technologies, and industry best practices.

• Aid in assessments related to cloud environments, identity security, enterprise infrastructure, and relevant operational technology environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in the field of cybersecurity.

• Practical experience in one or more technical cybersecurity areas, including security engineering, security architecture, cloud security, application security, infrastructure security, or network security.

• Experience conducting security assessments for Operational Technology (OT) or Industrial Control Systems (ICS).

• Solid understanding of enterprise security architecture, security design principles, and contemporary security measures across both on-premises and cloud settings.

• Experience evaluating complex technical environments, identifying security vulnerabilities, and offering practical, risk-based recommendations.

• Strong consulting skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and executive audiences.

• Exceptional written communication skills with experience in creating professional assessment reports and technical deliverables.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, consultative approach.

• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.

• Willingness to travel around 20% for client engagements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

• Fluency in Spanish is an added advantage.

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, CEH, CCSP, CCSK, GIAC, or cloud security certifications are a plus.

• Familiarity with frameworks like NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and MITRE ATT&CK is a bonus.
