Cyber Security Analyst II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee, enhance, and consistently refine the security posture of AWS cloud environments, which includes IAM, WAF, Security Hub, GuardDuty, network security groups, and other related AWS security services.

• Manage and develop the vulnerability management program comprehensively, incorporating scanning, risk-based prioritization, remediation tracking, and reporting across both infrastructure and applications.

• Operate and adjust EDR platforms to identify, contain, and address endpoint threats effectively.

• Design and implement controls for Zero Trust Architecture, which encompass identity-based access, micro-segmentation, and enforcement of least privilege.

• Utilize cryptography best practices, ensuring encryption at rest and in transit, key management, and oversight of the certificate lifecycle.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security controls into cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines from the design phase through deployment.

• Perform security assessments on internal projects as well as third-party vendors.

• Maintain and refine SIEM correlation rules and alerting logic to enhance detection capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Proven experience in securing cloud environments with a strong focus on AWS (IAM, WAF, Security Hub, GuardDuty, KMS, and related services).

• Expertise in managing vulnerability management programs, which includes tools for scanning, prioritization frameworks, and workflows for remediation.

• Familiarity with EDR platforms and routine operations related to endpoint security.

• Comprehensive understanding of Zero Trust Architecture principles and their practical implementation.

• Strong knowledge of cryptography basics — encryption, key management, and PKI.

• Awareness of SIEM tools and practices related to security monitoring.

• Excellent communication and influencing capabilities across cross-functional teams.

• Analytical mindset: adept at investigating intricate security issues, identifying root causes, and suggesting actionable mitigations.

• Ability to remain calm under pressure when dealing with time-sensitive or high-impact security situations.

• Self-motivated with a senior-learner mindset, proactively researching emerging threats, tools, and best practices.
