Customer Success Lead Data Scientist – Energy Industry Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist customers in effectively adopting and deriving maximum value from their Spotfire investment.

• Foster long-term customer success across a client portfolio by achieving adoption, retention, and satisfaction.

• Act as a trusted advisor and primary liaison between customers and internal Spotfire teams.

• Convert customer business objectives into actionable success plans that encompass onboarding, adoption, monitoring support, upgrades, new features, and centers of excellence.

• Create analytical deliverables utilizing exploratory analytics, machine learning, statistical modeling, and AI.

• Conduct and oversee research and development in applied machine learning and AI.

• Transform customer goals into technical objectives, develop custom industry solutions, provide guidance, and construct prototypes.

• Engage in projects involving large language models, digital twins, time-series anomaly detection, and mathematical modeling of manufacturing processes.

• Collaborate with sales, support, product management, and engineering teams to enhance outcomes, resolve escalations, identify sales opportunities, and contribute to the product roadmap.

• Involve customers in the Spotfire community to boost adoption and enablement.

• Contribute content related to industry and data science.

• Represent the team as a speaker or instructor at industry events and external conferences.

• Continue to enhance expertise in industry analytics and visual data science tools and techniques.

• Mentor and train other employees within the job area.

• Strive toward operational targets that significantly impact the department with minimal oversight.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6-8+ years of experience in data science using software environments and programming languages such as Spotfire, Tableau, Qlikview, SPSS, KNIME, Dataiku, Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, Python, and R.

• 6-8+ years of experience in advanced data analytics and the delivery of demonstrations, projects, engagements, or deployed software applications.

• Experience in applying machine learning and optimization techniques to large, complex, and diverse data sources.

• 6-8+ years of industry experience applying analytics to data challenges specific to the Energy sector.

• Ability to mathematically formulate real-world problems, propose and compare solutions, implement solutions, validate results, and present findings to stakeholders.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

• Capability to provide engaging software demonstrations and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences through storytelling.

• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to manage multiple projects to successful completion.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field, with graduate coursework in statistics and data mining.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Full working rights in North America.

• Fluency in Spanish is an advantage.

• Knowledge of SQL, .Net, Java, IronPython, Javascript, C++, Generative AI, and Data Virtualization is a plus.
