Customer Service Representative – Utility Billing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +21 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist customers with inquiries related to their natural gas bills and account balances.

• Process customer payments and provide assistance as needed.

• Investigate and resolve issues related to customer accounts.

• Clearly explain billing details, charges, and available payment options.

• Update and maintain precise information on customer accounts.

• Professionally and efficiently address customer questions and concerns.

• Adhere to established procedures and privacy regulations.

• Accurately document customer interactions.

• Escalate issues that require additional assistance or authorization.

• Deliver outstanding customer service in every interaction.

• Work from Monday to Friday and every other weekend between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM CST.

• Complete paid training from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday CST.

• A minimum of 1 year of prior experience in customer service, call center, or office settings is preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Comfortable working with billing and account-related information.

• High attention to detail.

• Ability to navigate various computer systems.

• A professional and empathetic attitude towards customer concerns.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

• Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Comfortable managing potentially challenging customer interactions.

• Must be open to cross-training on other accounts.

• Residency in AL, GA, ID, IA, IN, KS, LA, MI, MS, NV, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TX, TN, UT, VA, WV, WI, or WY is required.

🏝️ Benefits

• Shift differential: an additional $1/hour for night and weekend shifts.

• Paid training, generally lasting 1 week.

• Full-time hours of 40 per week.

• Eligible for benefits starting on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
