Customer Service Representative – Utility Billing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +21 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist customers with inquiries related to their natural gas bills and account balances.

• Process payments and provide assistance with customer transactions.

• Investigate and resolve issues associated with customer accounts.

• Clearly explain billing details, charges, and available payment options.

• Update and maintain precise customer account information.

• Address customer questions and concerns in a professional and efficient manner.

• Adhere to established protocols and privacy regulations.

• Accurately document customer interactions.

• Escalate issues that require further assistance or authorization.

• Deliver outstanding customer service in every interaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, call center, or office settings is preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Comfortable working with billing and account-related information.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems effectively.

• A professional and empathetic approach to customer inquiries.

• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Comfort in handling potentially challenging customer interactions.

• Must be willing to cross-train on other accounts.

• Residency in AL, GA, ID, IA, IN, KS, LA, MI, MS, NV, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TX, TN, UT, VA, WV, WI, or WY is required.

• Availability to work between 10:00 am and 10:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday, and every other weekend.

• Shift differential of $1/hour for evening and weekend shifts.

• Paid training, generally lasting 1 week.

• Full-time position with 40 hours per week.

• Eligibility for benefits starting on the first of the month after 60 days of employment.
