Customer Service Representative – Utility Billing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +21 more states.

📋 Description

• Support customers with inquiries related to their natural gas billing and account balances.

• Facilitate and assist in processing customer payments.

• Investigate and resolve issues pertaining to customer accounts.

• Clearly explain billing details, charges, and available payment options.

• Ensure accurate updates and maintenance of customer account information.

• Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and efficient manner.

• Adhere to established protocols and privacy standards.

• Accurately document customer interactions.

• Elevate issues that require further assistance or authorization.

• Deliver exceptional customer service with every interaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred 1 year of previous experience in customer service, call center, or office settings.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Comfortable working with billing and account data.

• Strong attention to detail is essential.

• Proficient in navigating multiple computer systems.

• Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor when addressing customer concerns.

• Consistent attendance and punctuality are required.

• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Comfortable managing potentially challenging customer interactions.

• Willingness to cross-train on additional accounts is necessary.

• Must reside in AL, GA, ID, IA, IN, KS, LA, MI, MS, NV, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TX, TN, UT, VA, WV, WI, or WY.

• Availability to work hours between 9:00 am–9:00 pm CST, Monday–Friday, and every other weekend.

🏝️ Benefits

• Additional $1/hr shift differential for night and weekend shifts.

• Paid training for typically 1 week, from 8:00 am–5:00 pm Monday–Friday (CST).

• Full-time position requiring 40 hours of work.

• Eligible for benefits starting on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
