Customer Service Representative – Utility Billing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +21 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist customers with inquiries related to natural gas bills and account balances.

• Process and facilitate customer payments efficiently.

• Investigate and resolve issues pertaining to customer accounts.

• Clearly explain billing details, charges, and available payment options.

• Update and maintain precise customer account information.

• Address customer questions and concerns in a professional and efficient manner.

• Adhere to established procedures and privacy regulations.

• Accurately document interactions with customers.

• Escalate issues when further assistance or authorization is necessary.

• Deliver outstanding customer service in every interaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of previous experience in customer service, call center, or office settings is preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Comfortable working with billing and account-related information.

• Strong attention to detail is essential.

• Ability to navigate various computer systems effectively.

• A professional and empathetic approach to customer issues.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Comfortable managing potentially challenging customer interactions.

• Must be willing to cross-train on other accounts.

• Candidates must reside in AL, GA, ID, IA, IN, KS, LA, MI, MS, NV, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TX, TN, UT, VA, WV, WI, or WY.

• Availability to work between 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday, and every other weekend is required.

🏝️ Benefits

• Shift differential: an additional $1/hr for night and weekend shifts.

• Paid training, typically lasting 1 week from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday (EST).

• Full-time position, requiring 40 hours of work per week.

• Eligible for benefits on the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
