Customer Service Representative – Utility Billing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +21 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist customers with inquiries related to their natural gas bills and account balances.

• Process and support customer payments efficiently.

• Conduct research to resolve issues related to customer accounts.

• Clearly explain billing details, charges, and available payment options.

• Update and maintain precise information in customer accounts.

• Address customer questions and concerns in a professional and efficient manner.

• Adhere to established procedures and privacy regulations.

• Accurately document interactions with customers.

• Escalate issues when additional help or authorization is necessary.

• Deliver outstanding customer service in every interaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of prior experience in customer service, call center, or office settings is preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Comfortable working with billing and account data.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to navigate through multiple computer systems.

• Professional and empathetic response to customer concerns.

• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Comfortable managing potentially challenging customer interactions.

• Must be open to cross-training on other accounts.

• Residency in AL, GA, ID, IA, IN, KS, LA, MI, MS, NV, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TX, TN, UT, VA, WV, WI, or WY is required.

• Availability to work between 10:00 am and 10:00 pm EST, Monday to Friday, and every other weekend.

🏝️ Benefits

• Shift differential: an additional $1/hr for night and weekend shifts.

• Paid training, typically lasting 1 week from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday (EST).

• Full-time position with 40 hours per week.

• Eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
