Customer Service Representative – Utility Billing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +21 more states.

📋 Description

• Support customers by addressing inquiries related to their natural gas bills and account balances.

• Manage and assist with customer payment processes.

• Investigate and resolve issues related to customer accounts.

• Clearly communicate billing details, charges, and available payment options.

• Ensure accurate updates and maintenance of customer account information.

• Professionally and efficiently address customer questions and concerns.

• Adhere to established procedures and privacy protocols.

• Accurately document all customer interactions.

• Escalate issues to appropriate personnel when further assistance or authorization is required.

• Deliver outstanding customer service with every interaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred: 1 year of prior experience in customer service, call center, or office settings.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Comfortable working with billing and account-related information.

• Strong attention to detail is essential.

• Ability to navigate various computer systems effectively.

• Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor when addressing customer concerns.

• Consistent attendance and punctuality are required.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Must be comfortable managing potentially challenging customer interactions.

• Willingness to cross-train on different accounts is necessary.

• Candidates must reside in AL, GA, ID, IA, IN, KS, LA, MI, MS, NV, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TX, TN, UT, VA, WV, WI, or WY.

• Paid training, typically lasting 1 week.
