This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Review, modify, and enhance current materials to create a comprehensive self-paced curriculum.
• Develop lessons, explanations, worked examples, activities, and assessments.
• Ensure alignment of content with iGCSE and International A-Level standards, exam-board requirements, and marking schemes.
• Design assessments that are auto-graded, self-checking, and provide teacher feedback.
• Organize and sequence content for independent learners utilizing chunking, scaffolding, retrieval practice, and intentional digital interactions.
• Construct courses within school systems following established templates, technology, and branding guidelines.
• Produce video lessons, voiceovers, screencasts, interactive tools, knowledge checks, and other digital learning resources.
• Implement considerations for accessibility and inclusion, including SEND awareness, readability, alt text, and WCAG compliance.
• Adhere to production timelines and delivery milestones.
• Submit drafts for editorial and quality assurance review, revise them based on feedback, and secure final approval.
• Verify that third-party content is legally licensed and that intellectual property is compliant and properly attributed.
• Current or former teacher with a teaching qualification and robust subject and curriculum expertise.
• Experience in developing lesson materials for online formats.
• Background in asynchronous lesson design or course development.
• Knowledge of designing for independent, self-paced learners.
• Skills in assessment design aligned with iGCSE and International A-Level standards, exam-board requirements, and marking schemes.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or Virtual Learning Environments (VLE).
• Willingness and capability to record video lessons and voiceovers; comfortable on camera and microphone.
• Understanding of accessibility and inclusion issues, including SEND, WCAG, and readability standards.
• Self-driven and capable of managing tasks independently; able to meet deadlines while working remotely.
• Experience in synchronous lesson design.
• Familiarity with iGCSE and International A-Level exam-board requirements and specifications.
• Interest in interactive content creation and digital learning tools.
• Basic skills in media editing.
• Understanding of GDPR, copyright/licensing, and safeguarding principles in the context of online education.
• Teaching qualification.
