This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Create a comprehensive product vision and strategic initiatives for curriculum and professional learning.
• Maintain a consolidated and prioritized roadmap that encompasses both curriculum and professional learning products.
• Identify product requirements, including a high-level overview of content.
• Develop expertise regarding the needs of students, educators, districts, states, and partners through research and data analysis.
• Conduct pilots, surveys, focus groups, and classroom observations, converting findings into actionable product directions.
• Establish product goals and metrics, taking responsibility for the outcomes.
• Track adoption, usage, retention, and satisfaction, utilizing insights in collaboration with curriculum, professional learning, and software product managers.
• Convert state and district requirements into specific product requirements.
• Assist in packaging and marketing activities upon product launch.
• Collaborate with curriculum and professional learning managers, platform product managers, implementation and success teams, and engineering during the discovery phase.
• Involve design, marketing, data, and growth teams in the process.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and leadership.
• Contribute to the development of sustainable team practices and culture.
• Over 5 years of experience in product management, including overseeing a product roadmap from inception to delivery and launching student-facing learning products at scale.
• Experience in developing curriculum and/or professional learning products, including those designed for adult learners.
• Proven history of product discovery: engaging with users, synthesizing market and field insights, and translating them into a prioritized roadmap.
• Proficiency in utilizing product, market, and customer data to inform decisions, define metrics, conduct pilots or studies, and monitor adoption, usage, retention, and satisfaction.
• In-depth understanding of computer science and artificial intelligence concepts relevant to K–12 grade levels based on the CSTA standards and the AI Literacy Framework.
• Strong grasp of educational products related to computer science and artificial intelligence.
• Competence in a text-based programming language such as Python or JavaScript.
• Experience working collaboratively with engineering and software product teams to establish requirements and deliver tools, including those involving AI functionalities.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and make decisions amidst uncertainty.
• Exceptional written communication skills, including the ability to create vision documents, roadmaps, and briefs.
• Comprehensive understanding of best practices for fostering equitable learning environments.
• Familiarity with student-centered pedagogy.
• Strong commitment to the CodeAI mission.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
• Must work within the continental United States.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check is necessary.
• Willingness to travel at least twice a year for team events.
