This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide dynamic and interactive synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences online.
• Tailor educational experiences for all learners and adapt instruction based on individual mastery levels.
• Enhance course content utilizing designated synchronous and asynchronous tools with guidance from principals and coaches.
• Track student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system.
• Manage the grade book and uphold student academic integrity.
• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion.
• Notify administrators of any concerns regarding student performance and progress.
• Prepare students for critical standardized assessments.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with families.
• Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a prompt manner.
• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting issues.
• Travel approximately once a month and/or 20% of the time for professional development, student assessments, and other school obligations.
• Certificate/license in Economics OR Business.
• Indiana state teaching license; out-of-state certifications must achieve reciprocity within Indiana within 60 days of employment.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Capability to pass the required background check.
• Residency in Indiana; candidates from Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, or Illinois may also be considered.
• Capacity to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.
• Ability to maintain a professional home office without distractions during work hours.
• Experience working with the designated age group.
• Background in assisting adults and children with technology usage.
• Experience in teaching online and/or in traditional classroom settings.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms.
• Proficiency in interpreting and creating numerical, tabular, and graphical representations of student data.
• Competence in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Commitment to maintaining teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
