Crop Claims Specialist, Field Adjuster I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Montana, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assess liability by collecting and evaluating pertinent information through established procedures.

• Verify policy and coverage by examining relevant claim details to determine if losses are covered.

• Engage in reviews and referrals initiated by the Risk Management Agency to ensure operational integrity and quality assurance.

• Safeguard claims information to uphold Zurich’s reputation.

• Enhance professional and technical expertise through educational opportunities, awareness of industry trends, personal networks, and professional associations.

• Travel within the designated territory, and for the Crop Claims Specialist role, outside the designated territory as required.

• Collaborate on CAT teams and provide remote support for CROP Claims Care Center inquiries and/or CCP Claims.

⛳️ Requirements

• Claims Crop Field Adjuster I: High School Diploma or Equivalent and at least 6 months of experience in the agricultural sector.

• Crop Claims Specialist: High School Diploma or Equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of experience in the agricultural or crop insurance field.

• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be secured within 180 days of the hire date.

• Reliable personal transportation is required.

• Travel within the assigned territory; Crop Claims Specialists may need to travel outside their territory to assist with workloads, participate in CAT teams, and provide remote support.

• Ability to walk in agricultural fields for distances up to 3 miles.

• Capability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet high.

• Ability to lift weights ranging from 25 lbs to 50 lbs.

• Willingness to work outdoors in various temperatures and weather conditions.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
