Crop Claims Specialist, Crop Field Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.

📋 Description

• Become a member of Zurich’s Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) team, recognized as a premier crop insurance provider in the United States.

• Utilize judgment to assess liability by collecting and evaluating pertinent facts and applying relevant procedures.

• Confirm policy verification and coverage by examining applicable claim coverage and determining whether losses are compensated.

• Engage in reviews and referrals initiated by the Risk Management Agency to ensure operational integrity and quality assurance.

• Safeguard Zurich’s reputation by maintaining the confidentiality of claims information.

• Enhance professional and technical knowledge through educational opportunities, staying updated on industry trends, and networking within professional societies.

• Travel within the designated territory and beyond as necessary to support workloads, join CAT teams, and offer remote claims assistance.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, with a minimum of 6 months of experience in the agricultural sector for the position of Crop Claims Field Adjuster I.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, along with 4 or more years of experience in the agricultural or crop insurance field for the role of Crop Claims Specialist.

• Attainment of Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) is mandatory within 180 days of employment.

• Reliable personal transportation and ability to travel within the territory.

• Capability to travel within the assigned region and outside of it to assist with workloads, participate on CAT teams, or provide remote support for CROP Claims Care Center calls and/or CCP Claims.

• Ability to walk in agricultural fields for distances up to 3 miles.

• Capacity to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet high.

• Proficiency in lifting weights between 25 lbs to 50 lbs.

• Willingness to work outdoors in diverse temperature and weather conditions.

• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization abilities.

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications.

• Must reside within 50 miles of Bottineau, Rolette, Pierce, Benson, McHenry, or Ramsey counties in North Dakota.
